Accountancy Age Finance Director of the Year 2007
YouGov’s Chief Financial Officer, Katherine Lee, was named Accountancy Age Finance Director of the Year 2007. This year saw Accountancy Age host its 13th annual Awards for Excellence to celebrate success and achievement across the entire industry, from accountants in business to practice and public sector.
The awards are an important recognition of achievement in accountancy and finance. Presented on 14th November 2007 at Battersea Park Arena, London, the event was attended by over 1300 guests.
Deloitte Technology Fast 50
YouGov is the only research company to be named in the 2007 Deloitte Technology Fast 50. YouGov has been ranked as the 36th fastest growing UK technology company. Deloitte’s Technology Fast 50 is a ranking of the 50 fastest growing technology companies in the UK based on average percentage growth in fiscal year revenue over five years. YouGov grew by 1182% percent, with revenues of £746,000 in 2002 and £9,567,000 in 2006 .
To qualify for the Fast 50, entrants must have had 2002 operating revenues of at least £34,000. Deloitte examined financial statements and public company databases to validate operating revenues.

Brand of the Year 2007
YouGov won the ‘Brand of the Year’ award at the Business XL 10 ‘Company of the Year’ Awards, held in London on 3 July 2007. These annual awards are organised by Business XL magazine, and the award for ‘Brand of the Year’ identifies the business that has most impressively established and maintained brand values during the past 12 months. It also recognises evidence of a dedication to building brand recognition through innovative strategic marketing. YouGov was nominated for the award alongside Humberts, Eat Natural, Wall to Wall TV, Primark and Interior Services.

Chairman of the Year 2007
Peter Kellner received the ‘Chairman of the Year’ Award in January 2007 at the annual Quoted Company of the Year awards. The awards recognise the achievements of quoted companies listed below the FTSE 350, taking a fresh and innovative look at the market and rewarding outstanding individual contributions, and are run by Growth Company Investor, the leading award-winning independent magazine for smaller quoted companies. The event was attended by over 900 CEOs, entrepreneurs, finance directors, chairmen, non-executive directors, advisers and investors.
Best AIM Company Achievement 2006
YouGov was named the winner of the ‘Best AIM Company Achievement’ prize at the prestigious Shares Awards 2006. Voted by readers of Shares magazine, the fastest growing financial title in the UK, the award illustrates the enduring popularity and high regard of YouGov’s services amongst consumers. Readers of the magazine had nominated their favourite providers in a variety of areas, including stocks, derivatives, online research and information, software, and fund management. Presented on Wednesday 29th November 2006 at the Grosvenor House Hotel in London, the event was attended by around 300 industry professionals.
