John Humphrys' Commentary
John Humphrys is one of the UK’s most respected – and most feared – broadcasters. He’s been a journalist for nearly half a century, having worked as a foreign correspondent, a political interviewer, a newspaper columnist, an author and, more recently, as the presenter of Mastermind. He has won numerous national broadcasting awards – including ‘Journalist of the Year’ and the Sony Gold Medal for lifetime achievement – and has been accused of “poisoning the well of democratic debate” by a former Conservative Cabinet Minister as a result of his take-no-prisoners style of interviewing.
