Tech brands dominate YouGov’s Best Brand Rankings 2026, claiming five of the global top 10 spots. 

As billions of consumers rely on digital tools for communication, entertainment, information, and everyday utility, tech brands that combine global consistency with local relevance gain a powerful competitive edge. Their ability to simplify life while easily localising enables them to build trust and loyalty across diverse markets.

But what is driving the success of tech brands on a global scale? 

Below, we take a closer look at the top-ranked tech brands – and highlight the specific areas of brand health where they continue to outperform.

The top 5 tech brands

WhatsApp

WhatsApp leads not only among tech brands but across the entire global ranking, securing the top position with an Index score of 41.5. Its strength lies in exceptionally high Impression (49.3) and Recommend (45.2) scores, supported by strong perceptions of Quality (44.1) and Satisfaction (44.9). The results highlight WhatsApp’s role as an indispensable, everyday communication tool worldwide.

Samsung

Samsung follows closely in second place with an Index score of 41.4. The brand excels in Quality (47.2) and Impression (46.2) and holds the highest Reputation score among the top five tech brands at 40.3, indicating that people would be proud to work for the company.

YouTube

YouTube ranks third globally, continuing to prove its relevance as a cultural and entertainment platform that transcends borders. Alongside a standout Impression score of 49.5, YouTube performs strongly across Quality (43), Satisfaction (41.7), and Recommend (43.4), underscoring its broad appeal and sustained engagement.

Google

In fourth place, Google remains one of the world’s most powerful brands, anchored by a solid Impression score of 43.9 and consistent performance across brand health metrics. It also places in the top 10 in markets such as Australia, Singapore, and Canada.

Netflix

Netflix rounds out the top five tech brands, ranking seventh overall. Its brand strength is driven by strong Quality (39.7) and Impression (38.8) scores, reflecting global audiences’ ongoing affinity for its content and platform experience. Netflix also appears in the top 10 in several individual markets, including Singapore, the UK, Brazil, Canada, and Mexico.

Together, these results underline a clear trend: tech brands that integrate seamlessly into daily life and deliver consistent quality continue to set the global benchmark for brand strength in 2026.

Methodology: All scores are based on data from YouGov BrandIndex, with Index scores between January 1, 2025, and December 31, 2025. All scores are rounded to one decimal place. If brands have the same rounded score, rank is determined by differences beyond the first decimal place. Global scores are an average of individual market scores. Featured brands are tracked in a minimum of 10 out of the 28 markets analyzed in total. The markets are Australia, Brazil, Canada, China, Colombia, Denmark, Egypt, France, Germany, India, Indonesia, Italy, Japan, Malaysia, Mexico, Netherlands, Norway, Philippines, Poland, Saudi Arabia, Singapore, Spain, Sweden, Thailand, United Arab Emirates, United Kingdom, United States, and Vietnam.
