Which brands are leading the way in advertising impact right now?
YouGov BrandIndex continuously monitors consumer perception across 16 key brand health metrics, spotlighting the campaigns that resonate most with audiences.
In October 2025, Ruutu, the Finnish streaming service, claimed the title of Advertiser of the Month in Finland, thanks to the largest increase in Ad Awareness. The streaming platform surged from 18% at the start of the month to nearly 29% by month’s end – a remarkable 11 percentage point gain. This growth reflects Ruutu’s high-energy campaign promoting exclusive sports content, including Liiga hockey streaming rights, and its original Finnish drama series. The brand leaned on social media teasers, programmatic video ads, and influencer-driven content, successfully engaging entertainment-hungry audiences.
Brands Making Waves
Supla – The audio platform secured second place with a jump from 6% to 17%, driven by campaigns highlighting podcast discovery and premium audio experiences. Supla leveraged mobile app ads, influencer partnerships, and curated podcast recommendations, tapping into Finland’s booming podcast culture.
While Telia, a leading Nordic telecommunications and digital services provider, maintained the highest overall Ad Awareness (around 44–50%), its growth was more modest compared to Ruutu and Supla. Telia’s “Connected Living” campaign, launched earlier this fall, focused on 5G expansion, smart home solutions, and sustainability messaging, supported by TV spots, digital video, and influencer collaborations.
Ruutu’s success demonstrates the power of content exclusivity and targeted digital engagement. Supla shows how niche platforms can scale visibility through influencer-driven strategies, while Telia reinforces the importance of consistent brand presence and integrated campaigns. For marketers, the takeaway is clear: localized storytelling and multi-channel activation remain key drivers of advertising impact in Finland.
