Bahamian athlete Shaunae Miller won the Olympic gold medal at the women’s 400m by diving over the finish line, overtaking American athlete Allyson Felix in doing so. The dive is permissible under Olympic rules, which state that the winner is the person for whom any part of their torso crosses the line first.
