The foreign secretary is heading to the the region affected by Hurricane Irma to oversee Britain's aid effort in its Caribbean territories. There has been criticism that British help has been too slow, but the defence secretary pointed out there has been a ship in the area since Thursday, consular staff on the ground, and more help pledged.
