Rick Stein's fish and chip restaurant in Padstow has come under fire for charging customers extra if they have tartare sauce or mayonnaise with their fish in the eat‑in section of the restaurant. The restaurant has justified the cost by saying that they are made from scratch to Rick’s recipes, rather than bought in bulk, and that the price reflects the chef time and ingredients.
