As many teens are aware, auditions for the 10th season of American Idol have been underway for almost two months. In fact they were complete until a seventh city, Los Angeles, was added to the list that included Austin, East Rutherford, New Orleans, Milwaukee, Nashville and San Francisco.
In addition to the Los Angeles auditions coming up on September 22, this 10th season will now open the audition process online, according to AmericanIdol.com. Teaming up with the social networking site MySpace, Idol hopefuls can submit their audition videos online at MySpace.com/AmericanIdol.
This news comes on the heels of some drastic changes to the judging panel that have been rumored around the internet by multiple sources. The latest piece of hot gossip is that performer Jennifer Lopez and Aerosmith's lead singer Steven Tyler are close to sealing deals as judges. These two new judges will hope to fill the void left by Kara DioGuardi, Ellen DeGeneres and most notably the ever outspoken (and often right) Simon Cowell.
This year's age bracket for eligibility falls to those between the ages of 15 and 28 years old on July 15, 2010 according to the American Idol official rules.
So we ask you TeenVoices - what do you think about the judging changes? What do you think about the online submissions this year? Most importantly - if you're eligible, will you audition for season 10 if you haven't already?
