June’s UAE Advertisers of the Month are KFC, Mai Dubai and Mountain Dew, each exhibiting significant increases in Ad Awareness as tracked by YouGov BrandIndex. Ad Awareness measures the percentage of consumers who have seen an advertisement for a brand in the past two weeks.
KFC led the pack with a significant rise in Ad Awareness, climbing 7.3 percentage points from 36.3% on May 28th to 43.7% on June 25th. This recent surge is likely driven by the launches of two limited-time menu items: the Cheesy Lava Twister and the Mighty Cruncher Melt.
Mai Dubai also experienced a commendable increase of 6.9 percentage points, with its Ad Awareness rising from 28.2% on May 26th to 35.1% on June 23rd. This positive trajectory highlights a successful period for the bottled water brand in capturing consumer attention.
Mountain Dew rounded out the top three, showing a gain of 6.7 percentage points, increasing from 16.9% on May 27th to 23.6% on June 25th. This increase is likely influenced by Mountain Dew's recently launched global campaign, “Gimme a Dew”. Debuting in May 2025, this campaign focuses on the brand's core identity and adventurous spirit. By emphasizing dynamic visuals and the iconic "Do the Dew" slogan, this advertising push may have contributed to enhanced memorability across various markets, including the UAE.
Methodology: YouGov BrandIndex collects data on thousands of brands every day. A brand’s Ad Awareness score is based on the question: “Which of the following consumer brands have you seen an advertisement for in the past two weeks?” (% Yes). Data from surveys of adults aged 18 years and above residing in the UAE from 26 May to 25 June 2025. Ad Awareness scores are based on a four-week moving average. The change in scores for each brand is calculated by taking the difference between the highest and lowest scoring days within the period.
