According to YouGov BrandIndex, which monitors brand perception daily, Coop has emerged as Finland’s Advertiser of the Month for August 2025. The retail cooperative achieved the highest increase in Ad Awareness, with a remarkable uplift of 14.2 percentage points. Coop’s score rose from a low of 16.4% on August 6th to a peak of 30.5% by August 31st, reflecting the strong impact of its recent advertising efforts.
In second place is Aku Ankka, which saw its Ad Awareness grow by 11.5 percentage points - from 15.2% on August 2nd to 26.7% on August 31st. Aku Ankka is Finland’s iconic weekly Disney comic magazine, published since 1951 and featuring Donald Duck as its main character. The magazine is a cultural phenomenon in Finland, known for its creative use of the Finnish language and its popularity across generations.
Taking third place is Jenkki, with an increase of 11.3 percentage points in Ad Awareness. The brand’s score climbed from 11.0% on August 1st to 22.3% on August 28th. Jenkki is Finland’s most popular chewing gum brand, famous for introducing the world’s first xylitol-sweetened gum in 1975. Today, Jenkki is synonymous with chewing gum in Finland and is recognized for its contribution to dental health and its wide variety of flavors
These three brands demonstrated exceptional performance in capturing consumer attention through advertising in August, showcasing the effectiveness of their campaigns in the Finnish market.
