How should the House of Lords be made up of?

Currently the House of Lords is mostly made up of people appointed by the political parties, or independent peers nominated by the House of Lords appointment Commission. There are also seats for 21 bishops and 92 hereditary peers who have inherited their titles. Some people have suggested that the House of Lords should be replaced by a second chamber that is mostly or entirely elected by the public.Which would you prefer?
