YouGov Hungary Inspired their partners by the “Fresh insights for your year-end rally” webinar on the 10th of September.
The webinar featured three presentations delivered in Hungarian.
The session opened with a market overview by Krisztina Bakonyi-Kovács:
Retail consolidation remains slow following the cost-of-living crisis of 2022-2023, and consumers continue to be cautious with their spending. Although there are positive signs in the economy and improvements in consumer sentiment, these have not yet translated into meaningful market growth.
Over the past two years, the crisis-management shopping behaviors adopted by consumers have gradually faded. It is becoming less common for shoppers to visit multiple stores in search of better deals. As a result, opportunities to engage with consumers are decreasing. Retailers and manufacturers should therefore seize every available occasion to connect with shoppers.

This was followed by Category Analytics Opportunities presented by József Scheiling:
Our own sales data show how we are performing, but it does not reveal where there is still room for growth.
The Category Analysis study provides a comprehensive overview of a category of your choice and uncovers by retail chain, where the greatest growth opportunities lie and how they can be leveraged.
Watch the webinar recording and discover how to turn these insights into tangible business results!

The session concluded with Shopper Study Highlights, presented by Monika B. Horváth:
What really drives shoppers when choosing where to shop? Price, quality or convenience? Our webinar highlighted that the answer is not as straightforward as it may seem. While convenience ranks highest overall, price and quality are close behind – and their relative importance can look very different across categories, channels and retail chains.
We also looked at why strong overall satisfaction does not necessarily mean there are no areas to improve. The real opportunity lies in understanding what matters most to your own shoppers, where your brand is already performing well, and where the gaps and opportunities are. These are some of the key questions explored in Shopper 2026.
