Interest in fruit beer is growing among UK consumers, particularly younger adults, who are more likely to have tried the category and expect to increase their consumption in the future. New YouGov survey data reveals which brands are leading awareness and trial across the UK market.
Which fruit beer brands are most recognised in the UK?
Among fruit beer brands available in the UK, BrewDog Elvis Juice enjoys the strongest consumer recognition, with 28% of adults aware of it. Awareness peaks among 25–34-year-olds (38%) and remains strong among 35–44-year-olds (35%) and 45–54-year-olds (34%). Recognition drops significantly among both younger drinkers aged 18-24 (21%) and consumers aged 55+ (21%).
JUBEL ranks second overall with 16% awareness, but its appeal is particularly concentrated among younger adults. Awareness reaches 29% among 25–34-year-olds and 20% among 18–24-year-olds, compared with just 8% among those aged 55 and over.
Früli records 13% awareness overall, though its strongest audience is among 35-44-year-olds, where awareness rises to 25%. Other notable brands include Cruzcampo Sevilla (14%), Beavertown Cosmic Drop (12%), Lindemans (10%), Schöfferhofer (9%) and Madrí Excepcional Limón (9%).
Which fruit beer brands have the highest trial rates?
Among those who have heard of BrewDog Elvis Juice, 27% have tried it. Trial is especially strong among consumers aged 45-54 (39%) and 35-44 (33%), suggesting the brand has successfully extended awareness into consumption beyond younger audiences.
Früli records the second-highest trial rate at 18% among those who have heard of the brand. Its strongest performance comes among 35–44-year-olds, where nearly one-third (32%) have tried the brand. Trial also reaches 24% among 45–54-year-olds.
JUBEL tells a different story. While overall trial stands at 17%, the brand performs particularly well among younger consumers, with 28% of 25–34-year-olds and 23% of 18–24-year-olds having tried it. Trial drops sharply among older groups, reaching just 9% among 45–54-year-olds and 10% among those aged 55 and above.
This suggests JUBEL has established itself as a youth-oriented fruit beer brand, while BrewDog Elvis Juice and Früli have achieved broader appeal across age groups.
Looking across both awareness and trial, the 25-34 demographic emerges as the category's most engaged audience. This age group records the highest awareness for BrewDog Elvis Juice, JUBEL, Cruzcampo Sevilla, Beavertown Cosmic Drop, Lindemans, Madrí Excepcional Limón and Damm Lemon.
