YouGov’s AI-powered news tracker series shows which single story Britons heard the most about
Our news tracker asks the public to tell us, in their own words, which one news story they had heard most about in recent days. The results are then categorised by our AI topic model into the categories below.
Over the last week, the news stories most noticed by the public include the ongoing natural disasters in Nepal, which was the news item that 16% of Britons most heard about, and the funding controversy surrounding Reform UK and Nigel Farage, which was the most memorable headline for 14%. Our poll, conducted on 6-7 September, also finds that the public's attention was grabbed by stories about immigration to the UK (top story for 6%).
