YouGov European tracker series looks at the popularity of the leaders of Britain, Denmark, France, Germany, Italy and Spain

Andy Burnham's first appearance on our European national leader tracker poll finds that 39% of Britons have a favourable opinion of Andy Burnham and 34% had an unfavourable opinion.

July’s tracker poll finds that 20% of French people have a favourable opinion of Emmanuel Macron and 75% have an unfavourable opinion.

These scores are within the margin of error of those for June’s survey, and therefore represent little change.

July’s tracker poll finds that 16% of Germans have a favourable opinion of Friedrich Merz and 81% have an unfavourable opinion.

These scores are within the margin of error of those for June’s survey, and therefore represent little change.

July’s tracker poll finds that 37% of Italians have a favourable opinion of Giorgia Meloni and 56% have an unfavourable opinion.

This represents a slight decrease in popularity since June’s survey, with the number of Italians holding a favourable view remaining largely the same but the number with an unfavourable view up by four points.

July’s tracker poll finds that 34% of Spaniards have a favourable opinion of Pedro Sánchez and 65% have an unfavourable opinion.

These scores are within the margin of error of those for June’s survey, and therefore represent little change.

July’s tracker poll finds that 43% of Danes have a favourable opinion of Mette Frederiksen and 53% have an unfavourable opinion.

These scores are within the margin of error of those for June’s survey, and therefore represent little change.
