YouGov European tracker series looks at the popularity of the leaders of Britain, Denmark, France, Germany, Italy and Spain
Keir Starmer – United Kingdom
February's tracker poll found that 21% of British respondents had a favourable opinion of Keir Starmer and 71% had an unfavourable opinion.
This represents a slight increase in popularity since January's survey, with the number of British holding a favourable view slightly higher than previously and the number with an unfavourable view slightly lower than previously.
Emmanuel Macron – France
February's tracker poll found that 19% of French respondents had a favourable opinion of Emmanuel Macron and 76% had an unfavourable opinion.
These scores are within the margin of error of those for January's survey, and therefore represent little change.
Friedrich Merz – Germany
February's tracker poll found that 23% of German respondents had a favourable opinion of Friedrich Merz and 71% had an unfavourable opinion.
This represents a slight decrease in popularity since January's survey, with the number of Germans holding a favourable view slightly lower than previously and the number with an unfavourable view remains largely the same.
Giorgia Meloni – Italy
February's tracker poll found that 35% of Italian respondents had a favourable opinion of Giorgia Meloni and 56% had an unfavourable opinion.
These scores are within the margin of error of those for January's survey, and therefore represent little change.
Pedro Sánchez – Spain
February's tracker poll found that 32% of Spanish respondents had a favourable opinion of Pedro Sánchez and 66% had an unfavourable opinion.
These scores are within the margin of error of those for January's survey, and therefore represent little change.
Mette Frederiksen – Denmark
February's tracker poll found that 43% of Danish respondents had a favourable opinion of Mette Frederiksen and 53% had an unfavourable opinion.
These scores are within the margin of error of those for January's survey, and therefore represent little change. However, this does mean that Frederiksen has held on to the significant boost in support she received in January, following Donald Trump's renewed threats against Greenland.
