YouGov European tracker series looks at the popularity of the leaders of Britain, Denmark, France, Germany, Italy and Spain

August’s tracker poll finds that 43% of Britons have a favourable opinion of Andy Burnham and 38% have an unfavourable opinion.

These scores represent slight increases in both positive and negative views compared with July’s survey, with favourable opinion up four percentage points but unfavourable opinion also rising by four points.

August’s tracker poll finds that 20% of French people have a favourable opinion of Emmanuel Macron and 74% have an unfavourable opinion.

These scores are within the margin of error of those for July’s survey, and therefore represent little change.

August’s tracker poll finds that 15% of Germans have a favourable opinion of Friedrich Merz and 81% have an unfavourable opinion.

These scores are within the margin of error of those for July’s survey, and therefore represent little change.

August’s tracker poll finds that 37% of Italians have a favourable opinion of Giorgia Meloni and 55% have an unfavourable opinion.

These scores are within the margin of error of those for July’s survey, and therefore represent little change.

August’s tracker poll finds that 33% of Spaniards have a favourable opinion of Pedro Sánchez and 66% have an unfavourable opinion.

These scores are within the margin of error of those for July’s survey, and therefore represent little change.

August’s tracker poll finds that 46% of Danes have a favourable opinion of Mette Frederiksen and 50% have an unfavourable opinion.

These scores are within the margin of error of those for July’s survey, and therefore represent little change.
