YouGov’s AI-powered news tracker series shows which single story Britons heard the most about
Our news tracker asks the public to tell us, in their own words, which one news story they had heard most about in recent days. The results are then categorised by our AI topic model into the categories below.
Over last week, the news stories most noticed by the public include the fatal tiger attack at Yorkshire Wildlife Park, which formed the most memorable news story for 9% of Britons. Our poll, conducted on 11th-12th October, also finds that the public's attention was grabbed by the headlines surrounding the US-Russia fuel deal (top story for 8%), other stories about Donald Trump (7%), and the increase in fuel/ energy prices (6%).
