Dirk has won YouGov’s Dutch Summer Report 2026 among national supermarket chains for the sixth consecutive time, narrowly beating Lidl. Both scored slightly lower than in December, with Dirk at 7.70 and Lidl at 7.69. Plus remains in third place.
Among regional chains, Nettorama leads with a score of 7.93, followed by Boni and Boon’s Markt, which made a strong improvement.
Dirk performs best in low prices, promotions, and stock availability, while Lidl stands out in fresh products and quality. Plus leads in staff, store convenience, and appearance, and Albert Heijn scores highest on assortment range.
Overall, customer ratings for supermarkets have slightly increased. Quality remains the strongest aspect, while low prices receive the lowest ratings, though their importance has increased due to economic uncertainty.
