The biggest travel concern for most people was contracting the coronavirus themselves, says a study from Upgraded Points.
The report reveals 20% of Americans have no plans of travelling for non-essential, non-business reasons until 2021. This distresses the American airline industry further, it being one of the first to be directly affected by the pandemic. However, 11% of respondents have no travel plans till July 2020.
When asked about travel concerns, 41% of Americans fear contracting the virus themselves and 32% are concerned about spreading the disease. 17% worry about being unknowingly involved in the spread of COVID-19. Only 10% of Americans aren’t concerned about travelling currently.
51% of participants would travel again when the government and health officials give an “all clear”. 27% would travel when their travel destinations see no new cases being reported.
