Google Ads’ Past Violations policy will re-review ads that were previously disapproved by the company for violating a certain policy.
If an ad was earlier disapproved but no longer violates Google’s current ad policies, the company will classify the ad as “Past Violation”. Instead of reactivating the ad completely, Google will keep the ad disapproved, limit how much the ad can show, and notify the business about it.
According to Google, the ads are kept disapproved to prevent businesses from “unintentionally exhausting spend on old ads.” On being notified, the brands can follow certain steps to completely re-activate their old ads.
